is the love you
receive at Calvary,
and you always have
to keep that love deep
in your heart.
Jesus was the first love of
the Early Church disciples, and
they were willing to live and die for
Him. They were disinherited and disgraced,
and they suffered many persecutions; but they
never turned from their calling. They knew
they had been called to the Cross of Calvary
and to the greatness of the power of Christ’s
resurrection. They knew they had been called
to the Upper Room and to spread the Gospel
to everyone they could. Jesus said, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature (Mark 16:15).
You too must love God more than family,
friends, your job, your home or anything else in
this world. That is the only way you will serve
Him in true faithfulness. Then you can say as
Paul did, Henceforth there is laid up for me a
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also
that love his appearing (II Timothy 4:8).
No one can comprehend the glory that
awaits those who love God with their whole
heart. But as it is written, Eye hath not
seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which
God hath prepared for them that love him
(I Corinthians 2:9). On that great Rapture
Day, you will be glad you paid the price to
serve the Lord and never stopped to listen to
anyone who tried to hinder you.
Called to Service
Moses was called out of Pharaoh’s
household, and he followed God’s
call. He gave up wealth, notoriety
and the family he had been raised
Jesus called out
the Early Church disciples
from everything
of the world to follow
Him. They were called out
of jobs, positions and family.
Paul was a Pharisee of the highest
sect, but he gave that up to follow the
Lord. Those disciples paid a great price and
suffered much to follow God’s calling, but
they didn’t give up.
The Lord called out Abraham from among
his family to an unknown land. Now the
LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out
of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
from thy father’s house, unto a land that
I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a
great nation, and I will bless thee, and make
thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing
(Genesis 12:1,2).
The Lord is also calling you to leave behind
everyone and everything that would hinder
you. The Bible says, Come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord,
and touch not the unclean thing; and I will
receive you (II Corinthians 6:17). You must
feel that separation and know your calling
because God wants to use His true children like
no people have ever been used before. He will
do that through the power of the Holy Ghost,
and that is why the Spirit is now being poured
out in a miraculous way. And it shall come to
pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour
out of my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:17).
Keep Your First Love
When God calls you out to be of service to
Him, you have to yield to God and put Him
first every day. Jesus said to one of the
churches in the book of Revelation,
I have somewhat against thee,
because thou hast left thy first
love (Revelation 2:4). First love
