I will take sickness away
from the midst of thee.
(Exodus 23:25)
Healing Is God’s Will
In the beginning, God made man without
sickness in his body and placed him in the
Garden of Eden. God never intended for man
to be sick; but when man sinned, sickness
entered the world. Everything changed for the
human race when Adam and Eve sinned.
God wants to take care of His children. He
proved that when He brought the Israelites
out of Egyptian bondage, and there was not
one feeble person among them. He God
brought them forth also with silver and
gold: and there was not one feeble person
among their tribes (Psalm 105:37). That
means about three million people, young and
old alike, were strong and healthy. God said,
I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exodus
15:26).
Before you could be saved from your sins,
you had to decide that it was the will of God
for you to be saved; and it is the same thing
with healing. You have to decide that it is the
will of God for you to be healed.
We all have an appointment with death
unless we are taken in the Rapture, but we
do not have to suffer with sickness and pain.
Moses was 120 years old when he died; and
the Bible says, His eye was not dim, nor his
natural force abated (Deuteronomy 34:7).
Before Moses died, he had the strength to
climb a mountain; and his eyesight was so
good that he could see all the land of Canaan.
Then he went home to be with the Lord.
We believe in good doctors and good medicine,
and we know God has given man the
knowledge to take healing from nature and
apply it to our bodies. If you cut your finger,
it will usually heal up on its own; but if infection
sets in, the doctor takes what God has put
in nature and uses medicine on your infection.
The bottom line is that God gives the healing.
Types of Healing Contact
There are different examples in the Bible
where people took a step of faith to receive
a miracle by using a point of contact to help
them release their faith. The most common
method we use at Grace Cathedral is the laying
on of hands. Jesus told the disciples, And
these signs shall follow them that believe...
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they
shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). We see this
take place in all of our Friday night miracle
services. People take that step of faith to go
into the healing line to get prayer and receive
their miracle.
Another common point of contact we use
at Grace Cathedral is the blest cloth. It is a
small piece of cloth that Rev. Angley has
prayed over, and there is a great anointing on
that cloth. We have received great testimonies
from people all over the world who have used
the anointed blest cloth to receive a miracle.
This same method was used in the Early
Church. And God wrought special miracles
by the hands of Paul: So that from his body
were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs
or aprons, and the diseases departed from
them, and the evil spirits went out of them
(Acts 19:11,12).
The Bible tells us that the disciples used
anointing with oil as a point of contact. And
he Jesus called unto him the twelve, and
began to send them forth by two and two;
